Personalised Keepsakes, Made Live

A return gift becomes memorable the moment it carries a guest's own name. Live engraving and calligraphy do exactly that: guests hand over a glass, a bottle or a card, watch the artist work for a few minutes, and receive it back finished and personal.

For engraving, the artist uses a handheld rotary engraving tool to etch letters and simple motifs into the surface of the glass. The result is a soft, frosted mark that is part of the glass itself, so it does not peel or wash off. Names, initials, dates and short phrases work best, and the artist can add small flourishes such as a heart, star or leaf.

Calligraphy is the gentler, ink-based side of the station. Using dip pens, brush pens and metallic markers, the artist writes names on place cards, gift tags, invitations, menu cards and labels in modern script, classic copperplate-inspired lettering or simple Devanagari styles.

  • Glassware: wine, whisky and beer glasses, tumblers and jars
  • Bottles: wine, spirit and perfume bottles, plus diffuser bottles
  • Gift items: glass bangle boxes, candle jars and photo frames
  • Paper: place cards, tags, envelopes and thank-you notes

This format works especially well for corporate gifting. A launch, dealer meet or year-end celebration becomes far more personal when each attendee's gift is engraved or lettered in front of them. For weddings, it suits cocktail nights, welcome dinners and the reception, where guests collect a personalised favour on their way out.

You can supply the items, or we can help you source suitable glassware in Himachal Pradesh. Either way, we check samples in advance, because glass thickness and finish affect how cleanly a design engraves.

Formats & options

Engraving & Calligraphy Formats

Pick a format
01

Live Glassware Engraving

Guests pick up a wine glass, tumbler or beer mug and have their name, initials or a short date engraved while they watch. It suits cocktail evenings and receptions, where the glass can be used through the night and then taken home as a keepsake.

02

Bottle & Perfume Personalisation

Wine and spirit bottles, perfume bottles and diffuser bottles engraved with names or messages. A popular choice for luxury brand activations, festive gifting and wedding hampers, where the personalised bottle becomes the centrepiece of the gift and a talking point.

03

Live Calligraphy Station

Hand-lettered names on place cards, gift tags, envelopes, menu cards or bookmarks, written live in the style of your choice. It suits weddings, baby showers and formal dinners, and works well alongside an engraving station for mixed gifting at larger celebrations.

04

Corporate Gift Personalisation

For conferences, dealer meets, Diwali gifting and launches, each attendee's gift is engraved or labelled with their name as they collect it. We coordinate with your gifting vendor on item type and quantity so the line moves smoothly at peak times.

05

Wedding Favour & Hamper Finishing

Bangle boxes, candle jars, glass frames and hamper tags personalised for family members and close guests. These can be prepared before the function from your list or completed live at a gifting counter during the event, depending on your schedule.

How it works

From enquiry to artwork

1

Share items and guest count

Tell us the event date, venue, number of guests and what you want personalised: glassware, bottles, gift boxes or paper items. Share links or photos if you already have the items.

2

Sample and style approval

We test-engrave or letter a sample, confirm the font or script style, decide what text fits on each item and agree whether personalisation happens live or partly beforehand for larger guest lists.

3

Confirm logistics and quote

We plan the counter layout, power points, item delivery, number of artists and service hours, then send a clear quote including materials, staffing and travel.

4

Personalise at the event

The artist sets up the counter, engraves or letters each item as guests arrive, and packs finished pieces carefully so they travel home safely, whether in a gift bag or a hamper.

Why RangBrush

Why families & planners choose us for engraving & calligraphy

Led by Raju Kumawat, every booking is handled by the artist directly — from the first WhatsApp message to the final piece your guests take home.

Start on WhatsApp
01

Tested before the event

Every new item is test-engraved first. Glass thickness, coatings and curved surfaces all behave differently, and a sample avoids unpleasant surprises with your guests watching. You approve the font, size and placement on the real item.

02

Two crafts at one counter

Engraving and calligraphy can run together, so a guest can receive an engraved glass and a hand-lettered tag at the same counter, without you coordinating two vendors, two setups and two sets of timings.

03

Practical for gifting volumes

We plan around your guest list and gifting vendor, and we are clear about how many items can be done live versus prepared in advance, so your gifting plan stays realistic on the day.

04

Careful handling and packing

Glass needs care at a busy counter. We keep finished items separated and protected, and coordinate packing so personalised pieces reach guests intact, with names matched to the right person at the counter.

Frequently asked questions about Glass Engraving & Calligraphy Artist in Himachal Pradesh

What can be engraved at a live station?

Most smooth glass items engrave well: wine and whisky glasses, tumblers, beer mugs, jars, wine and spirit bottles, perfume and diffuser bottles, glass bangle boxes and frames. Heavily textured, very thin or coated glass can be tricky, so we always test a sample. Names, initials, dates and short phrases suit live engraving best.

Is the engraving permanent?

Yes. Rotary engraving removes a very fine layer of the glass surface, leaving a frosted mark that is part of the glass. It will not peel or fade with washing. We suggest hand washing personalised glassware rather than using a dishwasher, mainly to protect the glass itself. Painted or gold-rimmed glassware should always be hand washed.

What affects the cost of engraving and calligraphy?

The quote depends on guest numbers, the type of item, the length of text, whether you want engraving, calligraphy or both, the number of artists and service hours. Supplying items yourself or having us source them also changes the scope. Travel and stay apply for outstation venues. We share an itemised quote after reviewing your requirements.

Do we need to provide the glassware?

Either option works. Many clients buy items through their gifting vendor and send them to the venue; we can also help source suitable glassware or bottles in Himachal Pradesh and nearby markets. Please share a sample or photos early so we can test-engrave and confirm the item is suitable before the full quantity is ordered.

How many guests can you personalise for?

One engraving artist can typically finish around 15 to 25 short names an hour; calligraphy on cards or tags is faster. For large receptions or conferences, we suggest more artists, or preparing part of the list before the event and doing the rest live so that the counter stays engaging without long queues.

Can you write in Hindi or other scripts?

Yes, calligraphy can be done in English script styles and in simple Devanagari lettering. Engraving works best with clear, simple fonts in either script. Share the names or phrases in advance so we can check spellings and plan the layout, particularly for longer or regional-language text. Spelling is double-checked before work begins.

Do you travel outside Himachal Pradesh for events?

Yes. We are based in Jaipur and travel to weddings, corporate offsites and launches across India. For outstation bookings, travel and accommodation are added to the quote. We bring our own tools and can coordinate with your local gifting vendor for item delivery to the venue, so fragile glassware does not need to travel long distances.
